Could reducing noise and distractions be your key to finding business clarity?
With this episode we are starting a new series about the journey to finding clarity for you and your business.
As we talked about in the last few episodes, journaling is an important tool that can be helpful for stress relief, decision-making, and achieving clarity. But for journaling to help, I believe there’s a first step you need to start with. A step that might (or if you’ve hung around for a time it probably won’t…) surprise you.

I believe it’s vital for every entrepreneur to learn how to pause, rest, reflect, and create space to think in their schedule.
We’re often overwhelmed by noise—social media, emails, and newsletters. This noise makes it hard to hear our thoughts and prevents us from asking crucial questions about our business. It’s essential to quiet the noise to hear ourselves think, which allows us to ask deeper questions and find real answers.
If we don’t want to lose ourselves in the noise, we need to not get lost in the sea of other opinions, ideas, and suggestions. We can easily get confused and lose sight of who we are as the entrepreneurs we have grown to be.
Have you felt like your business

Quiet The Noise So You Can Think
Begin with a “quiet the noise” challenge. This week, choose three to five newsletters to unsubscribe from, unfollow some social media profiles, or leave a few Facebook groups.
As you clear these distractions, you’ll find more space to think.
Journaling for Finding Business Clarity
Journaling helps, even just five minutes a day, to spot patterns and clear your mind.
I recommend using a pen and notebook. Unplug from devices and go outside. While technology is essential, having it on all the time hinders clear thinking.
Make Time to For Thinking About Your Business
Schedule time to think. Take breaks, mini-retreats, and make appointments for thinking about your business. Make this a regular part of your week.
Rest is crucial for good thinking. It shouldn’t be seen as a luxury.
Your Turn:
- Where is your noise coming from?
- Is it from your email or social media?
- What’s one thing you can do to turn it down today?
I’d love to hear from you! Share where your noise comes from and one way you’ll turn it down. You can comment below or send me a DM on Instagram and let me know.
Remember…
Taking time to pause, rest, and reflect are keys to gaining clarity about you and your business.
