Ep. 66 – What Does the Business Clarity Journey Look Like?

My Journey to Business Clarity.

Since starting my business back in early 2008 my business has seen its shares of ups and downs, lessons learned, and more than a few unexpected surprises along the way.

While I’ve shared bits and pieces of my journey in previous episodes I thought it was time to share more.

The Selah Entrepreneur Podcast - Episode 66

Entrepreneurship = Personal Development

I call entrepreneurship one of “The most intense personal development programs available”. It certainly has been that way for me.

I’ve often felt discouraged over how long it has taken to get where I am today. But, I also know that it needed to take as long as it did. So many important lessons to learn along the way.

Lessons that have grown me into the entrepreneur I am today. My journey helps me coach other women just like me who are ready to figure out who they are supposed to be when they grow up, and understand the calling on their hearts.

From my last corporate job to becoming a gentle business coach for women, this has been a journey worth taking. My hope is to encourage you to start your own clarity journey and know it is never too late to start.

What Does a Business Clarity Journey Look Like?

I’ve started working with a marketing consultant and that work has prompted a massive update on my website. This has prompted a lot of questions including, “How can I share more about the business clarity journey and what it is like”, “How can I get even clearer about how I help other women entrepreneurs?”.

That is what I’m sharing in this episode, the lessons learned from the last 16 years, with the goal of helping you shortcut the process and find your clarity in a much shorter amount of time.

The Four “C’s” of Business Clarity

I believe there are four key steps to business clarity:

  • Calm: It’s important to rest and take a pause.
  • Clarity: You need to ask yourself deep questions and be honest with the answers.
  • Confidence: Finding clarity gives you the confidence to make changes.
  • Change: This leads to positive and healthy changes in your business.

Remember

The business clarity journey is never truly done. And I actually think that’s a good thing! It means there’s always room to grow and evolve.

It also means you don’t have to have everything figured out right away. Take your time and go through the journey. I’ve spent 16 years getting to where I am today. Now, I help other women find their path faster.

  1. Hey Marta,
Thanks for sharing your story! It was a great encouragement to know you can empathize with me as I try to figure out the ins and outs of my new ministry. Just taking small steps and trusting in God helps to reduce my stress level. I know it will take time to build a target audience. I keep my focus on what is working and what isn’t.
The one thing I enjoy most is writing, but when it comes to marketing, that isn’t my pet peeve. It seems that I don’t have the time to stay in contact with my Social Media Groups. I know a large portion of my target audience is there. I need to have a plan in action to find time to do this part of the business that so annoys me. I feel very restless in that area because it isn’t my calling. Thanks for being a good friend and coach! Valli

    1. You are welcome Valli! Keeping in touch is important but it needs to be done in a sustainable way that works for you. Each action step we take we learn more. Keep taking simple and sustainable steps.
