Are You Afraid to Admit What You Really Want from Your Business?
Let’s talk about something that might be holding you back without you even realizing it. Are you scared to say out loud what you truly want from your business?
I recently chatted with a woman who was struggling with her business. She felt stuck and frustrated. She’d been trying to do things the way “experts” told her to, but it just wasn’t working.

Then something amazing happened. Just a few days later, she had a breakthrough. She finally admitted what she really wanted to be as an entrepreneur and the work she really wanted to do. It was so fun to watch the changes happen and all the new ideas that made sense and got her excited, started flooding in.
All because she admitted what she really wanted from her business and could confidently say who she was as an entrepreneur.
This got me thinking about other women I’ve worked with and my own journey. There’s often a moment when we draw a line in the sand and say, “No more. This is what I want in my business.”
So, how do you get to the point that you can confidently say who YOU are as an entrepreneur?
Here are some simple steps:
1. Admit something’s off
If you feel like everything in your business is harder than it should be, that’s a clue. You might not know exactly what’s wrong, but trusting that feeling is the first step.
2. Get back to you
Forget about what others say you “should” do. Think about who you are, your skills, and what you love doing. Look at your past work. What made you excited? What clients did you enjoy most?
3. Clear out the clutter
We often carry around old ideas and dreams. Some might not fit anymore, but others could be gems waiting to be rediscovered. Don’t be afraid to pull out old dreams and take a new look at them. Now might be the right time to pursue them.
4. Get crystal clear
Can you say in one or two short sentences what problem you solve and who you help? If not, that’s okay. Really. It takes time to get this clear. But it’s so worth it when you do.
5. Take action
Once you have that clarity, it gives you confidence. And confidence helps you take action. It’s a cycle that keeps building on itself.
Now, I know this isn’t always easy. It can be scary to admit what you really want, especially if it’s different from what you’ve been doing. But let me tell you, it’s so worth it!
When you get clear on who you are as an entrepreneur and what you really want to do, everything changes.
- Your marketing becomes easier because you know exactly who you’re talking to.
- Choosing clients becomes simpler because you know who you can help best.
- Most importantly, you get excited about your business again! You see new possibilities and feel re-energized.
So, are you ready to admit what you really want from your business? If you’re not quite there yet, that’s okay. Start small. Maybe write it down on a piece of paper just for yourself. Or if you’re feeling brave, send me a message. I’d love to hear your dreams for your business!
Remember…
It’s okay to dream big. It’s okay to say, “Fear, you’re not running the show anymore. I’m going to figure out who I am and what kind of business I want.”
Your Turn…
- Can you confidently say who you are as an entrepreneur?
- What is holding you back?
